Generation Gap

Good relations between children and parents are helpful and necessary. Some times parents interfere in their childrens affairs and ignore their abilities and desires. This raises problems and creates a gap between the two generations.
There are many reasons for this generation gap.In the first place, parents don't listen to their children's complaints and worries.Secondly, parents don't show and express their love to their children. Thirdly, parents are very serious and strict with their children.fourthly, parents deprive their children from their individual freedom. They don't allow them to express themselves, to take responsibility,to make decisions, to choose their friends, school, food and clothes. Finally, parents are still living in the past and refuse change.Parents think that they are bringing up their children properly, but in fact, they are trampling on their feelings, discouraging and failing them.
There are many suggested solutions which might overcome such problems and bridge the the gap between the two generations.First of all, parents should be good listeners to their children's complaints and worries, creating strong relations with them.Secondly, parents should show love and tenderness towards their children because this love develops a sense of security and trust.Thirdly, parents should have a sense of humor. It has been said that the best way to make children good is to make them happy. Children are usually inclined to humor and parents are generally serious. If parents are tolerant with their children and participate in their happy experiences, they will strengthen the realtion betwen them. Fourthly, parents should give their children freedom and allow them to express themselves, to depend on themselves, to choose their friends and other things. Finally, parents should understand  that life has witnessed great social changes and what was good for them is no more good for their children.
To conclude, parents should be tactful enough to understand their children's needs, live their dreams and to guide them to the safe shore.
